Motorcycle Jacket for my Daughter

Let me tell you about shopping for a motorcycle jacket with my daughter. I’m buying her a leather motorcycle jacket for Christmas. It’s what she wanted.

We had planned on attending the Indianapolis Motorcycle Expo this weekend but it got cancelled.

A couple notes: Cycle Gear has really upped their game since last time I darkened their door. Friendly knowledgeable staff and a decent selection of gear. A couple of jackets that she liked, but they didn’t fit quite right.

Harley Davidson had the perfect, tailored leather jacket that fit perfectly and looked nice. It was the over the top branding, not the $550 price tag, that led her to walk away. Other jackets with subdued HD branding didn’t work.

Indian Motorcycles. “Yeah, we have gear. Over in that corner”. 3 jackets and 40 t-shirts.

Hit the local Honda/Kawasaki dealer, and the local Suzuki/Yamaha dealer. Decent street gear, but not much for leather. Not surprising.

Ultimately we came home tired and found a jacket on Dennis Kirk. Free shipping and free returns 90 days. Can’t lose.

No I didn’t use these places as free dressing rooms and then retreat to buy it online. We tried every suitable jacket at these stores, found nothing that met the criteria, and finally resorted to the internet shopping experience.
