On last year’s ride to Arkansas and back, my only complaint was the seat. After trying an array of others, I pulled the trigger and bought a Russell Day-Long saddle. Notoriously comfortable, and known for being ugly.
It’s very comfortable! I haven’t put the kind of all-day rides in it yet that its name alludes to, but I’m sure it’ll be a significant improvement.
My daughter tells me it’s ugly, that it reminds her of the Goblin King in The Hobbit. I don’t see the resemblance.
But I told her, if I wanted a pretty bike I wouldn’t be riding a BMW to begin with.
