Previous owner made this scratch on the right bag.  I finally figured a way to have it show up in the photos - the light has to hit it just right.  It's not that noticeable on the bike under normal circumstances.  

 

This scratch was my doing.  Front fender connected with my workbench in the garage and made a scratch.  Like the previous one, the light has to hit it just right for it to be noticeable.  This is a plastic fender so no danger of rust from the scrape.  

 

This scrape is my doing.  Left saddlebag came in contact with my boot.  Of the three scrapes, it's the least noticeable.   

 

Suzuki In My Future?

I need to sit on one, test drive one to know for sure, but right now this bike is VERY interesting to me. I still haven't forgiven Honda for discontinuing the CB919 (or the Valkyrie, or the Magna...) and it looks like Suzuki has forged ahead where Honda has faltered. This is a very interesting looking bike. When my local dealer gets one, I'll have to ask for a test drive.

The Buell Lightning seems interesting.  Funny how it gets such great reviews now, but didn't sell well enough for the Motor Company to keep it around.

 

We test rode some Buell's back in '07  and had a blast (no pun intended).  Parts will be increasingly hard to come by. Plenty of low end torque, and you might expect with a Harley power plant.  Another test drive will be hard to come by, no dealers have any new ones since Buell was summarily executed by Harley-Davidson in 2009. 

Ryde4ever suggests the Yamaha FZ-07 or FZ-09 which also looks interesting.

 

 A test ride is in order, something Ryde4ever and I may attempt later this month.
