The Genetics of ATGATT

There has been at least one geneticist who has mistaken my monicker ATGATT RAT for an amino acid sequence. This photo, showing amino acid sequences, taken at Chicago's Museum Of Science and Industry, illustrates why.

  1. How cool! That's something I can't put on my own resume, yet.

I have been mistaken for many other things, though, so life's not all bad.

  2. Hmm, what could Irondad have been mistaken for?!? Maybe an Amateur Metallurgist? ;). Thanks for the comment. I'm alwyas fascinated by jargon, and the interplay between the jargon of specific disciplines or areas of interest. How jargon makes it difficult for us to understand each other outside of our niche.
