Friend and fellow Magna rider Bob finished his winter project -- transplanting a motor from a VFR into a Magna.
He calls his creation a VFR750C -- Part VFR Interceptor, Part VF750C Magna. The Magnaceptor.
By his own reckoning, he spent 3 months on the project. He mated the Magna heads and carbs to an Interceptor's motor. He spent 2 weeks of evenings wiring the harness. He used VFR wiring harness and ignition.
Does your friend Bob have more info about this mod on the web? Or can I contact him by e-mail.
ReplyDeleteVery interested in doing this swap.
Thanks, Mark
Bob's been promising to do a website of his own with the project on it, but so far hasn't had the chance. He's willing to do email.
ReplyDeleteI'm helping a guy do a conversion right now, it's looking promising! I'm even toying with the idea of building these motors/wiring harnesses for people on demand. But first the Magnaceptor needs to visit a dyno for some performance numbers... I have located a suitable dyno and plan to go late August.
ReplyDeleteWhat carb modifications did you have to do? Did you do exhaust modifications?
