Yes, this has to be the dumbest motorcycle ad I've ever seen. Don't they know Harley already has the reputation for being a motorcycle for the "Viagra" set. That the derogatory name for a Harley is a "Geezer-Glide". That associating their bikes with a rocking chair only furthers this image?
That of the Harley models, the rocker is not likely to actually appeal to the rocking chair set.
That nobody who buys a motorcycle wants a damned rocking chair?
Agreed. I had to invent a new category for the blog. "Worst Motorcycle Ads". I already had one called "Best Motorcycle Ads" and had posted a bunch of my faves, a bunch that I thought were truly ingenious bits of marketing.
But this ad might start me down the path of pointing out truly dumbass marketing moves.
